Measured in meals. Weighed in neighborhoods.
Every number below comes from our own program records. Since 2016 we have grown food on Kansas City's urban core soil, given it away free, and taught neighbors of every age how to grow their own.

10,000+ lbs of free, fresh food every year.
We grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, and pollinator plants across multiple urban plots and distribute the harvest through the Hamer Free Food Box Program, our community farm stand, weekly pick-ups, and direct neighborhood deliveries — free of charge, to families, seniors, and veterans living in a USDA-defined food desert.
Garden clubs in Kansas City schools since 2013.
From Pre-K greenhouse lessons at the George Washington Carver Greenhouse to garden clubs at KIPP Academy and Ewing Marion Kauffman School, students learn the full growing process — seed starting, container gardening under grow lights, and outdoor organic beds — then take the harvest home.

What community says.
"Global One turned an empty lot on our block into the healthiest thing that's happened here in twenty years. My grandkids now know where a tomato comes from."
"The youth apprenticeship gave my son his first paycheck and his first mentor. He came home talking about soil science and college."
"We've partnered with Global One for four school years. The curriculum is rigorous, the team is generous, and our students are hooked."
